Hoppy Easter - an eggstra special party using Neat and Tangled | Laureen Wagener

Hi crafty friends!
Today I am up for a party - so why don't you join me in celebrating an early Easter party!

I am joining the awesome new challenge over at Neat & Tangled - the Throwdown Party Ensemble challenge!

How fun is that?! I love party decorations and themed parties - my pinterest board is full of amazing ideas I have yet to finish ;)

Because Easter is fast approaching I decided to give it my best and use the CUTEST easter themed stamp sets to create my party - Cottontail Cutie and Eggstra Special are my main focal point.
I also threw in some other Neat and Tangled products into the mix to finish everything up!

My baking may not be the best and most fancy looking - more like a poo on my cupcake - but they were yummy nevertheless and have the cutest embellishments to go along my Easter theme!

I started by preparing a banner for my cake - I created scalloped circles, folded them in half  and adhered little elements fromCottontail Cuties and then used the Egg from Eggstra Special in between each scalloped circle.

I decided to create little signs for each main sweet dish using the sentiments from the stamp set naming my items little bunny related things - so I have a "chickie" cake, "cottontail cutie" cupcakes and "hunny bunny" cookies!

My cupcakes are topped with little cupcake toppers that feature the cute bunnies from the Cottontail Cuties stamp set - they are each holding one of the small embellishments and look so cute peeking out behind the frosting of the cupcake!

I created some bunny shaped cookies - so the name "hunny bunny" cookies match absolutely perfect! To create the signs I cut some cardstock and folded it in half, did some ink blending and attached the name that I stamped on vellum onto my girl that carries the wagoon with the eggs.

How could it possibly be a party without cute milk bottles all dressed up?!
I created a sleeve for those, used a scalloped circle on top of a vellum circle and attached one of the girls from Cottontail Cuties on top of that. The color of her coat matches so perfectly with the color scheme of the party!

As an eyecatcher for the party I created a card/ sign that I can also send to a friend!
I used the Nesting Hexagon cover plate die and embossed that onto a piece of cardstock by using a silicone embossing mat for the BigShot.

Then I used some Distress inks to blend my background and to make the design of the cover plate pop. I attached my girl on a grassy mat and used some trees and a little bird from Lumberjack love to finish up the card!

As a finishing touch I was missing something in the background - so I created a banner that reads "Hoppy Easter". I hung it up in the background and love the pop of color it brings and by using a bunny girl again it ties everything together!

Now I really hope you enjoyed my little party and I got you inspired for your next Easter get together with friends or family!

Have a great day and happy crafting!

Laureen

Love you with Altenew and Pinkfresh Studio | Card

Hi everyone!

Today I thought I'd share a card I have recently made with you!
I used the beautiful Floral Background stamp set from PinkfreshStudio for my image and then the Label Love stamp by Altenew.

I stamped the background onto some watercolor paper and heat embossed it in white.
I used Prima Watercolor Confects in Tropicals and colored all the florals in bright spring colors and then to make the colors really pop colored the background in a very light grey.

To add some interest to the colored panel I cut it down, so it would be a strip in the middle of my card and used a edge die from Avery Elle that also adds a stitched detail.
My sentiment  is from the Label Love stamp set by Altenew, which I stamped in Versafine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a great weekend,
Laureen
